Tasked with revamping the traditional farmhouse aesthetic, our team of builders seamlessly fused it with a contemporary design envisioned by Claudia, all the while preserving the rich Connecticut character of the home.

The Melwood Lane Project:
At the heart of Westport, set on Melwood Lane, this transformation took place in 2023. Spearheaded by The O’Dell Group team of builders and Interior Designer Claudia of Claudia Allegra Interiors, we transformed what was originally a traditional “farmhouse vibe" into a more modern farmhouse. The Scope of Work involved mostly cosmetic Interior Renovations to the Kitchen, Living Room, and Office/Study.
The Design Process:
Interior Designer Claudia envisioned spaces that both resonate with the home's existing aura and promised a transformative and more modern future better fit for the homeowners, giving each room its own character and feel, separate from the next. Equipped with The O’Dell Group’s skilled team and a unique design approach, we made sure to preserve the Connecticut feel of this home in every detail.

Behind the Scenes: Let The Interior Renovations Begin!
Interior renovations wouldn’t be complete without our Project Manager, Chuck Hilman, who oversaw project operations. The floors were replaced, we installed new tile flooring throughout the kitchen, sourced by Claudia. The master bathroom also got a massive glow-up. Keep reading to see the new and improved rooms throughout the house.
The Reveal: Transformations by Room
KITCHEN: Vision was for a modern country kitchen with a checkered floor, marble backsplash (sourced from Artistic Tile) and custom cabinetry for the island.
KITCHEN: With banquette seating as one of the functional focal points, the vision was to merge modern elements with a country aesthetic.
OFFICE: The goal in this space was to create a room that supported work-from-home needs while having its own identity, distinct from the rest of the house.
OFFICE: We repainted walls in a dark blue hue, added accent light fixtures & refinished the floors to create a unique and functional workspace.
DINING ROOM: Adorned with bespoke green cabinetry that add a touch of uniqueness, while a captivating chandelier steals the spotlight, this dining room has an enchanting ambiance for unforgettable gatherings.
DINING ROOM: The existing doorways mark the entrance of the Dining Room with wide arches. The essence of the green walls embody a seamless blend of strength and soft allure.
